Senior Scientist - Hatzfeld, Germany

Participates in complex research and development activities linked to new product initiatives using established mathematical and scientific techniques. Responsibilities include but not limited to: working directly with the Customers, Sales & Marketing teams to develop new products for existing markets identified by the business units. Also the ideal candidate will be able to benchmark competitor grades and technology, develop expertise in appropriate media technology as necessary and be able to plan, execute and evaluate laboratory and machine-based trial programs using Design of Experiments methodology. Education/Experience: a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent experience. 10 years of experience desired. Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and Lean Manufacturing principals preferred.

Director, Market Management, HESF - East Walpole, MA



Lead global market management for High Efficiency & Specialty Filtration (HESF). Build a deep understanding of HESF markets, customers, product offerings and competition. Develop and execute strategies and plans to position H&V in attractive markets, segments and applications where H&V can win and grow. Work closely with sales and product management to build and deliver strong customer value propositions. Bring contemporary marketing skills & experience that will significantly improve HESF’s marketing capability. Education/Experience: A minimum of a BA or a BS in a technical or business discipline; MBA strongly preferred. A minimum of 3 years business to business marketing to industrial or technical markets. Industrial sales experience, industry experience in filtration, HVAC or cleanroom industries a plus. Primary and secondary market research methodologies; pricing, segmentation, positioning, marketing communication and strategy development required. Sales and negotiation skills; superior written, verbal, and presentation communication skills required. Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Warehouse Supervisor - Easton, NY

This position has responsibility for directly coordinating and supervising all logistics and/or distribution for the activities of PM #9, PM #10 and indirectly for PM #8, PM # 11. Under the direction of the Customer Operations Manager, the position is responsible for supervising activities in the Easton Yard Department, receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company policies and cost objectives; providing a world class level of service to both internal and external customers. In addition, overall direction in the implementation and continuous improvement solutions in Mill warehousing and distribution areas is required.

Education/Experience: College degree preferred in logistics and or distribution management; however 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in logistics and distribution management is acceptable. Must have a minimum of three years experience in a supervisory role (leading a team of 10~15 individuals). In-depth knowledge of receiving/shipping/locator systems/inventory control/management/data processing paper flow/operation procedures required. Working knowledge of warehousing management systems (WMS) preferred. Position requires a demonstrated knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Oracle applications exp. preferred.

Scientist

Develop expertise in appropriate media technology, as necessary to plan, execute and evaluate laboratory and machine-based trial programs, using the Design of Experiments methodology. Use appropriate DFSS/DFM tools and stage gating process for development projects. Keep abreast of relevant industry, applications and materials technology trends through literature, seminars and market contact.

Master Black Belt, Technology/Process – various H&V locations


The Master Black Belt will work directly with the CTO, Business Unit General Managers, Marketing and Technology Directors and Manufacturing leaders to establish technology programs and process that will bring innovation, improve product differentiation and improve the profitability of H&V products. He/she will support the exploration and evaluation of profitable new market opportunities for H&V corporate and business units in order to achieve corporate business objectives. The Director will identify and implement business processes that will increase the pace of innovation such as the Design for Six Sigma, Stage-gating and Design for Manufacture.

Education/Experience: MS Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science degree. MBA preferred; minimum 9-10 years experience. Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, with a complete and in-depth understanding of Lean manufacturing principals required.

Director of Information Technology - East Walpole, MA


The Director of Information Technology (IT) provides vision and direction to H&V’s investment in technology on a worldwide basis. The Director has a wide range of responsibilities that cover both managerial and strategic use and implementation of technology at H&V; manages Corporate and Field IT employees, Oracle ERP, all Web based initiatives, user technical training and development and the worldwide network investment; sets departmental policies and procedures around software development and implementation and network policies and deployment. He or she actively engages the other functions to determine user and business needs; works closely with senior management in planning sessions to assist them in understanding the implications and benefits from technology solutions; manages outside vendor relationships in IT, including alliances, outsourcing and contracting with consulting firms.

Qualifications:
B.A in information technology, business administration, engineering, or a closely related field and 10 years of experience in information technology. Hands on experience, exposure and 6 years of management practice in computer operations: data entry, computer operating systems, applications programming, systems analysis, corporate network planning, PC and LAN planning and support, vendor selection/contract negotiation, budget preparation/admin., strategic planning and computer support Implementation exp. with ERP Systems/Process reengineering techniques. Exposure/exp. in a mfg environment.

Operations Manager-East Walpole, MA

The East Walpole Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations and personnel in the East Walpole Mill from receipt of order to final shipment. The incumbent is expected to drive continuous improvement in the processes and new product development through the use and promotion of Lean methodologies. This position is expected to lead and develop the team in East Walpole to successfully achieve objectives. Ensure that processes and procedures are optimized in order to maximize quality, and yields. Assist in daily trouble shooting and process problem solving.  This position also ensures compliance with company safety policies and best practices, monitor safety and drive improvement to meet Company and mill objectives. Must display a passion for improving safety in the department and insist on the same level of passion from direct reports.

Education/Experience: BS in Engineering, preferably paper, industrial, mechanical, or chemical engineering. 2 - 5 Years experience managing in a paper-manufacturing environment. Six Sigma/Lean experience as well as excellent interpersonal skills is desired.  Excellent computer skills including use of Minitab, Excel, Word, Oracle, and Outlook and working knowledge of ISO.
