POSITION SUMMARY:          

The Staffing and OD administrative assistant will provide administrative support for recruitment and talent development. The admin will perform various administrative tasks; coordination of meetings and conferences, processing of background checks and drug testing, offer letters, point person for domestic and international relocations, immigration paperwork and compliance, coordination of training classes and working on special projects. Will handle non-routine correspondence and assemble highly confidential and sensitive information. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.

This position requires excellent communication skills, relationship management, problem-solving skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead and support on-boarding process for new hires including planning, organizing and participating in various integration activities for new hires, working with managers to ensure successful on-boarding of new employees  
  • Process and coordinate all new hire paperwork including offer letters, background checks, e-verify process (HireRight), badges and maintain personnel files
  • Schedules and organizes meetings, travel, conferences, department activities and company-wide social events
  • Coordinate training classes and schedules, tracking employee attendance and following up to ensure all training requirements are completed
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and order materials for training
  • Schedules and attends job/career fairs with recruiting staff to generate qualified applicants

QUALIFICATIONS:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Benefits, Compensation and HRIS Manager will strategically design, develop and implement compensation, reward and recognition programs closely aligned to performance management and total rewards. Will create policies and procedures in partnership with HR Managers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. Will build HRIS project plans, maintaining a systems orientation in order to work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and assist in long-term planning. Manage employee benefits in all U.S. based locations including; strategic plan design, implementation, communication and administration of market competitive health benefits and wellness programming.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compensation:

  • Ensure effective deployment of compensation programs including annual salary planning and budgeting, merit and bonus process, variable pay and incentive programs and resolution of compensation issues.
  • Provide advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs. Develop techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data.
  • Participates in, conducts and/or purchases exempt and nonexempt salary surveys to ensure company compensation objectives are achieved; designing and establishing a company-wide compensation structure.   

HRIS:

  • Performs system research, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of new HRIS system, maintenance and future upgrades.
  • Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.

Benefits and Total Rewards:

  • Responsible for strategic plan design, implementation, communication and administration of market competitive and cost-effective health benefits and wellness programming, delivered with the highest standards of customer service.
  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision plans; retirement; life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; and wellness programs. Provide statistical and census data for actuaries, insurance carriers and management.
  • Maintain benefits documentation; original and amended plan documents, benefit agreements, insurance policies and corresponding non-disclosure agreements. Instruct insurance carriers, trustees and other administrative agencies outside the company for prompt and accurate overall compliance.
  • Assist in the development of company bargaining proposals for employee benefits and analyze union benefits demands. Obtain and prepare cost data for company and union proposals and final settlements.
  • Assure company compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Affordable Care Act. Supervise preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies. Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and report necessary or suggested changes to management. Coordinate company benefits with government-sponsored programs.
  • As needed, this positon will provide special guidance and assistance to global locations.
  • Supervise Benefits Administrator.
  • Travel throughout company locations may be expected (10%).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of experience in benefits and HRIS OR Master's degree in human resource management and combination of experience.
  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in compensation.
  • Demonstrated design and implementation of wellness and total rewards programs.
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, business acumen, critical evaluation, ethical practice and communication skills.

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This position is responsible for ensuring the cost effective and efficient procurement of raw materials and energy to our manufacturing facilities, along with leading the businesses in identifying, managing, and prioritizing cost out in direct material programs in attaining their Operating Plans, utilizing Strategic Sourcing, Supply Base Management and Total Cost Analysis strategies. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Identifies raw material sourcing strategies, negotiates pricing and delivery to ensure uninterrupted flow of raw material to H&V facilities through effective supply base management. 
  • Identifies alternative suppliers, coordinates qualification trails and supplier workshops with key suppliers. 
  • Utilize strategic sourcing, total cost analysis strategies and targets suppliers, spend for online auctions and effectively manage the commodities.
  • Strategically manage raw materials and energy spend; ensures quality, sourcing and commodity strategies are in place, competitively priced and compliant with any laws/regulations and working capital levels meet or exceed corporate objectives.
  • Identifies cost savings opportunities and manages cost reduction activities to achieve 5% annual cost reduction goal with supply chain leadership, utilizing a formal strategic sourcing process.
  • Collect and analyze market and supplier data, develop sourcing options for review and concurrence by the applicable business unit, and implement approved strategies timely to capture savings and value to the business.
  • Gain supplier involvement in supplier management to drive continuous improvement and productivity.
  • Lead cross-functional team(s) in the identification of alternative products and suppliers, facilitates qualification trials, and conduct supplier management to drive continuous improvement.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA degree required.  MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in raw material sourcing and procurement, preferably in nonwovens related industry.
  • Excellent background in supplier management, commodity strategy development/execution, contraction negotiations and manufacturing operations.

  • Have a thorough knowledge of suppliers globally and global sourcing strategies; including low cost country sourcing experience, good knowledge of energy and logistic markets.

Educational and Experience Requirements 

  •  Valid Oregon Journeyman license
  • 2 years’ experience as a journeyman electrician in an industrial plant 
  • Experience in PLC programming and variable frequency drives
  • Demonstrated skills in the instillation, calibration, and testing of industrial electrical equipment, including programmable controllers and electronic drives
  • Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and blueprints and the use of mathematics for calculation of electrical installation and troubleshooting

  • Expert-level skills in 2 or more of the following:  hydraulic systems, water treatment and purification systems, waste water systems, casting and curing refractory, precious metal fabrication techniques, natural gas/air mixing and delivery systems, instrument calibration, gas/diesel/electric vehicle systems and mechanical power transmission.
