Advantages of a New and Advanced Nanofiber Coating Technology for Filtration Media Compared to the Electrospinning Process
The research and development of nanofibers has gained significant prominence in recent years due to the heightened awareness of their ability to enhance the performance of filter media. Nanofiber technology, i.e., the fabrication of very small fibers typically having a diameter of less than 1 micron, has been known and practiced for many years. Currently, the most commonly used process for manufacturing nanofibers is the electrospinning process.
This report will highlight the drawbacks of the electrospinning process and detail the advantages of using NANOWEB® advanced nanofiber technology in filtration applications to improve depth filtration and pulse-cleaning ability.
