H&V announces carbon surfacing veil for FRP flue stack market
East Walpole, Massachusetts, June 15, 2007: Hollingsworth and Vose announces the production of specialty carbon fiber surfacing veils for fiber reinforced plastic ("FRP") flue stack liner applications. The carbon fiber nonwoven surfacing veils provide heat and corrosion resistance in FRP applications including chemically corrosive environments and applications where conductivity is a requirement. The carbon fiber surfacing veil product line includes Advanced Fiber Nonwoven AFNŽ grades 8000015, 8000020, and 8000030. These nonwoven surfacing veils provide corrosion resistance in severely corrosive environments, and are an essential component in FRP flue stack liners for coal fired power plant installations and retrofits, providing conductivity, anti-static, and anti-spark properties.
The AFN® manufacturing line is located in Hawkinsville, Georgia. The AFN® facility maintains AS 9100 Rev B, QS 9000:1998 and ISO 9001:2000 quality certifications, and is strategically located in the southern USA in close proximity to the majority of North American FRP tank and pipe manufacturers. H&V offers superior service and ships a variety of nonwoven roll goods from stock with short lead times.
