The AFN Group manufactures fibrous veils for a variety of radar signature management and low observable composite applications. These specially produced mats have fibers that -- even at low basis weights -- are randomly dispersed in an isotropic nature. These veils are recognized as having uniform, stable, and finely tuned electrical properties. All materials are manufactured in our modern AS 9100 certified Hawkinsville, Georgia, plant. All materials are available in roll form. Our low weights and calipers allow you to design a lighter and more compact structure. Most of our materials weigh 10 grams per square meter. AFN mats are flexible enough to conform to complex contours and shapes. In addition, the products wet out and de-air quickly. Our veil's compatibility with all the major resin systems is also a plus. We can ship over 28 materials immediately from stock and have low minimum order requirements. More detailed information on some of our products can be found in our web site. If you do not find what you want in our standard offering, AFN will custom engineer a material to the exact electrical properties you need. We call this our ability to deliver Tailored Resistivity.
