H&V manufacturers filtration media specifically designed for
today's complex gasoline and diesel fuel blends. Our fuel filter
grades offer higher flow characteristics and efficiencies, better
water separation, and improved dirt holding capacity. Some are enhanced
with microglass and synthetic blends. We work together with customers
to develop tomorrow's fuel filtration media technologies.
The requirement to reduce diesel particulate emissions 95% by 2007
is driving the trend toward common rail fuel systems in North America
and Europe. The systems generate two to three times higher line
pressure and flow rates, and significantly higher injector pressure.
These factors will place new demands on diesel fuel filtration --
requiring higher capacity and water emulsion removal rates. H&V
is developing meltblown/polyester reinforced common rail filtration
media with greater dirt holding capacity, higher efficiency, and
improved water emulsion removal characteristics.
H&V technologists are creating new advances in in-tank fuel
filtration materials. We have developed media with 100% nylon construction.
This new filtration technology offers reduced cost, superior water
resistance, and high depth loading.
