The
world's major manufacturers of room air cleaners prefer H&V
media. Two out of three high efficiency air filters produced for
household use are made with H&V media. H&V's family of products
includes microfiberglass, synthetic composite, and Technostat® media
in efficiency ratings of up to 99.97% HEPA.
Our HEPA microfiber glass media has been the standard in the room
air cleaner market for many years. Its efficiency is unsurpassed,
providing consistently true HEPA filter media performance. This
material is readily pleatable on all conventional rotary and push
bar pleaters.

Our new synthetic composites line is designed to readily pleat
on conventional rotary score and push bar pleaters without the need
to apply heat. We designed the media to meet initial efficiencies
up to 99.97% on 0.3-micron particles, while providing extremely
low air resistance. This allows for smaller motors, reduced noise
levels, and lower energy consumption. The material is composed of
electrostatically charged polypropylene meltblown laminated to pleatable
substrates.

Technostat is ideally suited for use in room air purifier filters
due to its low air flow resistance and excellent Clean Air Delivery
Rate (CADR). These benefits enable the fan size to be minimized,
which helps save on energy consumption and reduces noise levels.
Technostat combines high sub-micron efficiency, low airflow resistance,
and high dust loading capacity. This makes it highly attractive
for portable air filter applications where efficiency levels of
up to 95% are required, in accordance with EN and ASHRAE standards.
Technostat filters particulates down to 0.05 microns in size. During
the manufacturing process, we generate electrical charges on the
surface of Technostat's synthetic fibers. The result is a highly
stable, coarse fibered, electrostatic filter media.
