Hovotex® nonwoven buckram backs up more fashion drapery pleats
than any other buckram. Washable and dry cleanable, Hovotex material
offers selected styles for every drapery application. H&V has
supplied Hovotex products to the drapery industry for over 30 years.
We specifically developed this material as a stiffener for dry-cleaning
to maintain its rigidity. Hovotex drapery buckram consists of polyester
fibers, cross-linked resin, and cellulose. The polyester fiber provides
suitable stitch strength and prevents sagging. None of our products
contain starch that could wash out.
 Style
3130 will work for almost all applications. Heavier fabrics may
need style 3630, while some lighter weight applications can use
style 2630. Our two heat tackable products enable you to achieve
higher production rates. This temporary bond can be activated by
applying 250°F temperature. We ship Hovotex products from stock
and slit to width. The four-inch width is the most popular. Each
width is packaged in cartons containing 25 (100 linear yard) rolls
wound on 1.5-inch ID cores. The standard carton dimensions are 17.75
x 17.75 x 20.25 inches.
