You have found the right backing supplier. H&V has an exceptionally
broad product line featuring more than 15 different items. We are
the only backing supplier that manufactures all of our own products.
We do not buy odd lots or sell seconds. H&V is more than 150
years old and has eight manufacturing plants. Embroidery backing
is important to us. All of our products are specifically designed
for use as embroidery backings. We make cutaways, tearaways, tear/washaways,
puff, fusibles, black, and flame-retardant styles. Both rolls and
sheets are available in a variety of stocked configurations as well
as in custom sizes.
- This unique 2
oz/yd2 product tears exceptionally well in both directions and has
superior stability. When laundered, the remaining backing surrounding
the embroidery washes away, leaving a clean design and yet the stitches
remain firmly locked. If you are going to use just one tearaway,
this is the one.
- This 2.5 oz/yd2 stable
and versatile product is our most popular cutaway. It is also available
in black. Number 9925 is easy to cut and has no hoop stretch. There
are two lighter weight and one heavier weight versions of this product.
If you are stocking one cutaway, this is the best option.
- This product’s
stability and firm hand make it suitable for a variety of headwear
applications. It is particularly suitable for low profile caps.
At 3 oz/yd2, #3020’s easy tear properties are remarkable. When
torn, the product leaves a fuzz-free edge.
H&V sells its backings only through distributors who are responsive
to customers no matter how much they purchase. Products are warehoused
throughout the country for quick delivery.We believe samples are
