SUMMARY:

The Controls Engineer is responsible for implementing operations and capital improvement activities related to plant and equipment. This position leads process control and instrumentation upgrades and modifications, ensuring a high level of manufacturing effectiveness. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages projects for safety, quality, productivity, asset reliability, process improvement, cost reduction and other business objective improvement.
  • Projects from initial concept and scope development through design, procurement, construction/installation and start-up.
  • Designs and drafts systems of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment such as programmable controllers.
  • Provides instruction in operation, set-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Heavily involved in continuous improvement plans across the manufacturing environment.
  • Utilize your background in Electrical Hardware, Automation Systems, and Process Control Systems. Specifically, a high level of proficiency in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/Compactlogix/SLC 500/PLC 5, PLCs, Kinetix Servo systems, FactorytalkView SE/ME applications, configuring and setting up Powerflex DC/AC VFDs, DeviceNet and ControlNet, Ethernet communications.
  • Support the planning, prioritizing, and reviewing the technical plans for engineering/maintenance of the production and facility equipment including the preparation of project plans, schedules, budgets and proposals.
  • Troubleshoot issues with the Rockwell Systems – SCADA, MES, PLCs, VFDs and Servos, IO and Safety Devices.
  • Be proficient in Software Development - PLC programming, IO Configuration, SCADA/HMI programming and computer communication systems and network protocols – Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet.
  • Prepare system integration plans, system specification, system architecture drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, equipment tag list, configurations, HMI screens, and a bill of materials.
  • Establish schedules and methods for providing services; identifying resource needs; reviewing needs,  allocating resources accordingly, and effectively communicating action plans/repairs.
  • Participate in the development of control policies and procedures and making recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures.

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.

  • Actively demonstrate adherence to all plant and departmental policies, to recognize and correct behaviors inconsistent with these policies and to work with the crew leaders to demonstrate a zero tolerance to behaviors inconsistent with these policies.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Pulp and Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

SUMMARY: 

This position is responsible for the day-to-day safe and efficient operation of the mill by providing leadership, coaching, training and direction necessary to help employees on PM8, PM9, and PM10 to carry out their responsibility of producing a quality product and the safest and most efficient manner. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
  • Supervise production personally or through Crew Leaders by maintaining a high level of visibility and making every effort to involve employees in decision-making and problem solving.

The Customer Service Representative interfaces with customers prior to and after sale. In addition, this person develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with H&V team members to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.

The Customer Service Representative has the ability to substantially affect the relationship between our customers and H&V by providing World Class Service through advocacy, administrative skills to assist customers in obtaining information, resolving problems, and obtaining services. As such, this individual must maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

This position is responsible for accurately inputting and processing customer orders and any customer complaints. This will include, but is not limited to; entering, expediting, and tracking orders; coordinating issues between the customer, manufacturing, credit, sales, and marketing; maintaining customer files and managing inventory levels for various Finished Goods programs. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interface with customers, sales, marketing, shippers, forwarders, agents, and credit department with processing orders to obtain information required to resolve specific issues.
  • Communicate customer feedback to appropriate mill personnel, manufacturing, and sales.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Receive customer order, edit, and enter data including proper documentation, appropriate conversion, product specifications, payment terms, delivery terms, etc.
  • Create and maintain truckload/container loading spreadsheets for customers, as needed.
  • Integrate orders on mill schedule. Obtain scheduled manufacturing and shipping dates; maintain tracking to ensure on-time delivery. Provide mill with new and revised orders.
  • Match acknowledgement to order to ensure information is accurate. Provide customer order acknowledgement and communicate any discrepancies and resolve accordingly.
  • Provide follow up documentation to customer such as Certificate of Analysis.
  • Process complaints, credits, and debits.
  • Maintain customer order files and consignment orders for billing purposes.
  • Review/reconcile any EDI order exceptions.
  • Communicate and coordinate all shipping requirements, freight terms, and payment arrangements to mills and distribution locations.
  • Coordinate shipping arrangements with freight forwarders, carriers, Customers brokers, and shipping department.
  • Ensure all customer-shipping instructions have been followed and all required documentation has been issued to the appropriate parties, including banking as needed.
  • Process release and usage orders from distribution and consignment locations.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels at consignment and distribution locations.
  • Verification of accurate inventories at consignment and distribution locations.
  • Maintain previously agreed upon customer inventory levels by placing internal orders to restock items.
  • Review current inventory to determine if new orders under minimum can be filled from stock and verify with mill.
  • Timely follow-up of orders; obtain frequent status updates from Manufacturing, Scheduling, Shipping, and Credit.
  • Process required documents prior to shipping (Letter of Credit, Proforma Invoices, etc.). Review documents for accuracy to purchase orders. Channel documents to appropriate freight forwarders and internal departments including credit, to insure accurate payments and on-time delivery. Process credit card payments for orders with CC terms prior to shipment.
  • Advise customer and sales regarding, backorders, inventory discrepancies, quality problems, and late shipments. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

The Technician provides assistance to Technology staff in the testing, analysis, and reporting of new material development in conjunction with product development efforts undertaken in the laboratory and pilot plant facilities and paper machines. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare fibrous/chemical mixtures in the laboratory and produce experimental media prototypes.
  • Perform physical, chemical testing on raw materials, product prototypes and commercial materials according to specified test procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and implement preventive maintenance requirements

Leads product support and R&D activities for lead-acid battery products including adsorptive glass mat (AGM) separators used in VRLA batteries. Leads technical support to enable customers to be successful with H&V products including support during customer trials of building batteries. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product & applications support – Interface externally
    • Provide expert technical guidance to the customers regarding H&V products.
    • Support customer trials of building batteries for enabling rapid qualification of H&V products.
    • Assist Division Sales and Marketing with technical service in the selection of existing grades capable of meeting stated technical and processing requirements.
    • Work with Division Sales and Marketing team for seamless introduction of new products including customer technical & trial support
