SUMMARY:

The Business Systems Analyst – Manufacturing Accounting position partners with Finance, Commercial, and Manufacturing departments to improve manufacturing cost accountability and visibility by leveraging information technological systems and services. The BSA is the lead IT resource for defining, testing, maintaining and enhancing Tieto TIPS Costing and Subledger and the integration with H&V’s corporate finance system, which is currently Oracle e-Business Suite.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather and facilitate alignment on global business requirements and priorities for Manufacturing Accounting applications and the integrations to Corporate Finance Systems.
  • Production Support for Manufacturing Accounting IT systems, including researching and resolving problems; supporting scheduled activities; and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Develop specifications, assist in development, maintain and support solutions for manufacturing cost accounting business intelligence and reporting.
  • Understand and be able to operate the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to support effectively decision making and test financial related changes to these systems.
  • Assist Finance teams with the development of user procedures, guidelines and documentation for IT systems supporting Manufacturing Accounting.
  • Develop and provide training on new IT systems, processes and functionality.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in Manufacturing Accounting Systems and practices. Participate in local user group meetings/conferences.
  • Ensure all IT systems meet the data privacy requirements of H&V locations.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of proven results oriented work experience in IT or Finance functions.
  • At least three years experience in a leading or key contributor role in support of sophisticated Manufacturing Accounting Systems like Oracle or SAP.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Strong demonstrated analytical analysis skills and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

SUMMARY:

The Electrical Engineering Manager will have the responsibility for overseeing the engineering and design of industrial process electrical distribution systems, including overseeing installation, assisting with commissioning, and start-up of new electrical distribution components or systems.  All electrical engineers will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager.  As the Manager of the group, the development of the electrical engineering staff and assigning projects to the staff is expected.  The administration and management of capital projects is required as well as providing input in the development and execution of the company wide capital program.  Assisting mill staff in diagnosing and rectifying operational problems with existing electrical infrastructure systems hardware and software may also be required.  Travel and on-site support during project construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational improvement stages to US domestic and International sites should be anticipated.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership and oversight of projects assigned to the electrical engineering group.  This may include managing the project schedule, cost, scope, and objectives.
  • Development and training of the Electrical Engineers.
  • Setting of company standards for the electrical distribution system.
  • Effective execution and completion of assigned tasks as an Electrical Engineer of a team executing a larger project.
  • Administration of assigned projects including the preparation of capital project requests, project status reporting, participating in and or conducting project meetings, coordination of construction activities, and project close-out reporting.
  • Responsible for all stages of capital project engineering and design activity to include the development of alternative solutions to meet project objectives for presentation to management.
  • Oversee construction work performed by mill maintenance and/or outside contractors during installation, commissioning, and start-up of assigned projects.
  • Ensure adherence of established H&V safety policies and practices.
  • Conduct training of operations and maintenance personnel as needed.
  • 10.  Assist mill maintenance and production departments in troubleshooting and correction of equipment and electrical problems
  • 11.  It is essential that the person have access to ITAR and other export controlled information.  The candidate should be either a US citizen or green card holder.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the electrical distribution industry and/or an industrial consulting engineering design firm with relevant hands on experience, including project management experience.  Electrical distribution in the paper industry preferred.
  • International project experience desirable.
  • Professional engineering license preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT: 

  • The position will be working in and around the operating floors so all the typical restrictions that would apply to our production personnel would apply. 
  • Person needs to be able to walk up and down stairs and work in tight or confined areas.
  • Often person is working with live electrical circuits and must be able to wear the necessary PPE to prevent injury.
  • Person must be able to hear with ear plugs, see well enough with safety glasses to work in a production environment, speak clearly to be understood by hourly employees for training and to provide direction, walk and stand on concrete floors for a considerable period of time, climb stairs and ladders, and work with a computer screen for long periods of time.

SUMMARY:

To provide general ledger, fixed asset, capital spending, and tax information in an accurate and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide capital project information to corporate and project managers as needed.
  • Maintains records on and reconciles all capital spending.  Posts all related journal entries.  Ensure that fixed asset completion notices are submitted after projects are complete.
  • Resolve day to day invoice and payment issues as they arise in Accounts Payable.

5. Support and guide sales force in business development to execute strategy in each region.  Develop compelling value propositions and selling tools to help sales force articulate H&V offerings.

6. Create meaningful and actionable segmentation to optimize positioning in target markets.

7. Develop global pricing/profitability strategies and guidelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. A minimum of a BA or BS in a technical discipline; MBA preferred.

2. Automotive industry experience required (OEM or Tier 1 preferred).  Business to business (B2B) marketing in industrial or technical markets a plus.

3. Experience in primary and secondary market research methodologies; pricing, segmentation, positioning, marketing communication and strategy development required.

SUMMARY:

The Health and Safety Manager will plan, direct, and implement health and safety programs and policies for the West Groton Mill.  This person will be responsible for the health and safety of the mill in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Government regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the health and safety of all employees, visitors and contractors through the adherence to all applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop plans, programs, and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with all governmental safety and health rules and regulations.
  • Plans and implements programs to train managers, supervisors, and employees in work site safety practices, loss prevention, ergonomics, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials. 
  • Prepares studies and analyses of industrial accident causes and hazards to health for use by company personnel and outside agencies.  Assist supervisors in accident investigation and direct analysis of accident data to develop procedures or controls to prevent recurrence.  Institute JSA into work practice.
  • Responsible for all reporting of safety requirements for internal and external sources.  Ensure compliance with all government agencies.. 
  • Provides oversight and Health and Safety support for the West Groton mill
  • Develop and administer the plant emergency procedures and first aid, including planned drills.  Maintain relationship with local town, county, and/or city emergency response departments.
  • Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards; determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated; and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Direct and conduct sampling and studies (air, noise, ergonomics, etc.) to identify health and safety hazards to employees.  Analyze results to recommend corrective measures via engineering and/or administrative controls as appropriate.
  • In conjunction with appropriate production, engineering and maintenance staff, review and approve all process, plant and equipment plans and revisions thereof for risk assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of same regarding safe working environment.
  • Partners with plant, regional and corporate resources to implement proactive solutions to minimize at risk conditions and at risk behaviors.
  • Interacts with and provides visible leadership to all employees, particularly those on the plant floor to drive safety awareness, engagement and improvement.
  • Improves safety by continuously increasing a level of awareness and improving safety systems in an effort to eliminate accidents and injuries.  Leads and maintains plant safety direction in accordance with the Hollingsworth & Vose Operating Systems (HVOS).
  • Completes inspections and audits to detect and eliminate unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Facilitates the monthly plant safety meetings, safety walkarounds, and assists supervisors with monthly crew safety meetings.
  • Collects and analyzes injury data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Maintains the Plant MSDS records.
  • Provides 24/7 availability to plant, as required.
  • Supervise HSE staff direct reports.  Set objectives, assess performance and manage development plans. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or chemical, environmental, or civil engineering or other related field
  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years relevant experience
  • Union experience preferred
  • Experience with EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001, 18000, OSHA VPP)

  • Normal office environment most of the time but will require working in and around the operating floors so all the typical restrictions that would apply to our production personnel would apply.

  • Regular travel to mills expected (~25%).
