Over our more than 100 years in business, our company has undergone numerous expansion efforts that have ultimately led to us being a trusted source for materials in various markets across the world. Today, we maintain 13 facilities in strategic locations across three continents, North America, Europe and Asia – a footprint that lets us serve the unique requirements of global and regional customers efficiently, accurately and cost effectively.

How We Got Here

Hollingsworth & Vose opened with a single location in East Walpole, Massachusetts. While we established new facilities over the years to expand our domestic and, eventually, international capabilities, this one remains our company headquarters.

Some of our key expansion efforts include:

• Erecting a facility in New York state in the 1950s
• Building a facility in Virginia in the 1970s
• Forming a joint venture in Mexico in 1981
• Establishing a presence in the United Kingdom while simultaneously creating new facilities in the southern and northwestern United States from the 1980s to the 2000s
• Constructing facilities in Germany throughout the 2000s
• Opening a facility in Suzhou, China in 2004

With each of these milestones, we further cemented our status as a global business. While we already have a presence on three continents, we are ready and willing to expand when the opportunity arises and the market calls for it. In the meantime, we will focus on improving operations in our current facilities to ensure our customers continue to be satisfied and our company continues to thrive and prosper.
