Does Trupor® replace my existing membrane, or do I need to design around it?

Trupor® is not positioned as a simple substitute for conventional membranes. It’s a platform to design around, supporting new pleated cartridge, disc, capsule, and module designs, rather than dropping into an existing membrane layer.

Is Trupor® a single product or an ongoing platform?

H&V is developing Trupor® as a long-term technology platform, not a one-off product. The goal is to work directly with filter manufacturers on performance requirements, technical evaluation, and differentiated device design over time.

Can Trupor® handle standard filter manufacturing processes?

Trupor®’s composite construction (a nanofiber efficiency layer plus support layers) is being developed to tolerate the practical steps of cartridge manufacturing: slitting, die cutting, pleating, layering, welding, assembly, and device integration.

What about cleaning, sanitization, or sterilization requirements?

Trupor® is being developed with the cleaning, sanitization, and sterilization conditions demanding liquid filtration applications require. Suitability for specific agents, methods, and operating conditions must be confirmed by grade, device design, and application testing.

How do I know whether to use Trupor® Nylon or Trupor® PES?

H&V can help OEMs determine the appropriate platform based on market, application, regulatory expectations, and device requirements. Trupor® Nylon is commercially available now; Trupor® PES is in prototype evaluation.

Is Trupor® suitable for life sciences or other high-regulatory applications?

Life Sciences and high-regulatory applications are a future market for Trupor®. Trupor® PES is being developed with these needs in mind, but suitability must be proven through the appropriate validation pathway.
