SUMMARY:

The Senior Process Control Engineer will have the responsibility for engineering and design of industrial process control systems, including overseeing installation, assisting with commissioning, and start-up of new process control components or systems.  The administration and management of capital projects is required as well as providing input in the development and execution of the company wide capital program.  Assisting mill staff in diagnosing and rectifying operational problems with existing process control systems hardware and software may also be required.  Travel and on-site support during project construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational improvement stages to US domestic and International sites should be anticipated. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Leadership, Management, and execution of assigned projects.  This may include managing the schedule, cost, scope, and project objectives.
  2. Effective execution and completion of assigned tasks as a process control member of a team executing a larger project.
  3. Administration of assigned projects including the preparation of capital project requests, project status reporting, participating in and or conducting project meetings, coordination of construction activities, and project close-out reporting.
  4. Responsible for all stages of capital project engineering and design activity to include the development of alternative solutions to meet project objectives for presentation to management.
  5. Oversee construction work performed by mill maintenance and/or outside contractors during installation, commissioning, and start-up of assigned projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. BS or MS in Engineering, preferably Electrical.
  2. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a process-related industry facility and/or an industrial consulting engineering design firm with relevant hands on experience, including project management experience.
  3. Working knowledge of various DCS control systems including experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s, Intellution/Wonderware HMI, and ABB QCS Systems.
  4. International project experience desirable.
  5. Professional engineering license preferred.
  6. Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate preferred.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  1. The position will be working in and around the operating floors so all the typical restrictions that would apply to our production personnel would apply. 
  2. Person needs to be able to walk up and down stairs and work in tight or confined areas.
  3. Often person is working with live electrical circuits and must be able to wear the necessary PPE to prevent injury.
  4. Person must be able to hear with ear plugs, see well enough with safety glasses to work in a production environment, speak clearly to be understood by hourly employees for training and to provide direction, walk and stand on concrete floors for a considerable period of time, climb stairs and ladders, and work with a computer screen for long periods of time.

SUMMARY:

The East Walpole Shift process Manager will be responsible for leading the safe and efficient operation of the Production Assets on shift in the East Walpole Mill, aligned with the H&V Vision and Values, and, within the framework of the H&V Operating System (HVOS). The Shift Process Manager is a key member of the East Walpole Mill Operations Team. They will be required to staff, train and manage shift operations to ensure a safe work environment and adherence to all H&V and Mill Safety Policies. Key responsibilities include, but, are not limited to EHS compliance, order fulfillment and continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee development and engagement on their shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATOR

 

SUMMARY:

Assist the EH&S Manager in the daily management of all environmental activity, including auditing, reporting, and permitting.  The EH&S Coordinator may also be asked to lead environmental improvement projects.  The position’s primary responsibility will be environmental, but some safety responsibilities may be given as well. 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the management of the facility environmental permits, including permit renewal assistance (Title V, Stormwater, NPDES, etc.).
  • Conduct field environmental inspections and/or audits to ensure compliance with all federal and state EPA regulations in all media (air, water, and waste).
  • Prepare agency environmental reports to include Title V, hazardous waste, TRI, SPCC, Emissions Inventory, Stormwater, and EPCRA.
  • Ensure all environmental plans are current and team members are trained.
  • Coordinate facility RCRA waste management program to include profiling, inventory management, and disposal coordination.
  • Participate in regulatory agency plant inspections.
  • Maintains all environmental documentation, including reporting spreadsheets.
  • Assists departments with spill reporting/processing reports/investigation and ensuring the necessary supplies such as spill kits, first aid supplies and proper training.
  • Assists EH&S Manager with the performance of all legislative EH&S training as outlined in the facility training matrix.
  • Assist Facility EH&S Manager with follow up on all Accident / Incident reports to ensure that they are completed, investigated and that recommended preventative measures are acted upon.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related technical field.
  • 0-3 years’ experience within environmental in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Experience managing and compliance of: Title V air permits, NPDES Permits, Storm water, and RCRA programs an asset - not required.

The Production Mill Worker is an entry level, production position in our East Walpole, MA paper mill. Upon successful completion of a 60 day probationary period, the Mill Worker will become a Fourth Hand in the union bargaining unit. Production Mill Workers operate, assist, and support paper machine operations. This involves working with high speed, continuous process equipment and forklift operation.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of the Paper Machine and Rewinder, assisting in materials movement, labeling and packaging, collecting and removing broke/scrap materials, performing cleaning and housekeeping tasks in the general Mill area and other tasks as assigned by crew leaders and Supervision.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • 10 years demonstrated work experience in an analytical role.
  • 10 years of experience in a continuous manufacturing environment, preferably under AS9100.
  • Highly developed computer skills including manufacturing data and business systems.
  • Strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Prior management experience. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work involves frequent exposure to environments with high levels of heat, noise and moving parts.
  • Have the ability to frequently sit at a computer, potentially for extended periods of time.
  • Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the facility while wearing the appropriate PPE:  steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety eyewear and respiratory protection.
  • Have the ability to occasionally lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Have the ability to regularly climb roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs and walk elevated catwalks.
  • Have the stamina to stand and flexibility to stretch/reach, bend/stoop, squat, and kneel repetitively during the work day.
