Position Summary

This position will fabricate, rebuild, and repair plant equipment in a way that is both time and material efficient so that the manufacturing needs are met. Duties and Responsibilities

     Essential Job Functions

  1. Supports the operating principles of the Glass Fiber Maintenance department.
  2. Develops, promotes, and implements effective communications with all internal customers (manufacturing, shipping, laboratory personnel) to assure the quality and quantity of maintenance.
  3. Interprets and applies blueprints and sketches for general equipment fabrication needs.  Modifies and updates prints as necessary, and maintains integrity of blueprint system per company standards.
  4. Fabricates, maintains, repairs, and rebuilds key process equipment in a way that maximizes useful life and is safe to operate.
  5. Installs and replaces equipment per standard construction practices.
  6. Maintains skills in protecting the safety and health of self and others while conducting the work.
  7. Receives work instructions from supervision.
  8. Observes and inspects conditions of products, equipment and tools, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  9. Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  10. Complies with safety, environmental, and quality requirements established by external and internal regulations.

 Educational and Experience Requirements 

  • State of Oregon Journeyman Millwright Certification (or equivalent) required.
  • 5 years of industrial mechanic experience.  Demonstrated skills in all of the following:  gas cutting and welding, SMAW welding, MIG welding, TIF welding, pipe threading and fitting, machine tool operation, proper hoisting, lifting and rigging procedures, pump and blower rebuilding, lubrication, large bearing setup procedures, shaft alignment practices, blueprint reading.
  • Expert-level skills in 2 or more of the following:  hydraulic systems, water treatment and purification systems, waste water systems, casting and curing refractory, precious metal fabrication techniques, natural gas/air mixing and delivery systems, instrument calibration, gas/diesel/electric vehicle systems and mechanical power transmission.

SUMMARY:

The Senior Process Control Engineer will have the responsibility for engineering and design of industrial process control systems, including overseeing installation, assisting with commissioning, and start-up of new process control components or systems.  The administration and management of capital projects is required as well as providing input in the development and execution of the company wide capital program.  Assisting mill staff in diagnosing and rectifying operational problems with existing process control systems hardware and software may also be required.  Travel and on-site support during project construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational improvement stages to US domestic and International sites should be anticipated. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Leadership, Management, and execution of assigned projects.  This may include managing the schedule, cost, scope, and project objectives.
  2. Effective execution and completion of assigned tasks as a process control member of a team executing a larger project.
  3. Administration of assigned projects including the preparation of capital project requests, project status reporting, participating in and or conducting project meetings, coordination of construction activities, and project close-out reporting.
  4. Responsible for all stages of capital project engineering and design activity to include the development of alternative solutions to meet project objectives for presentation to management.
  5. Oversee construction work performed by mill maintenance and/or outside contractors during installation, commissioning, and start-up of assigned projects.
  6. Ensure adherence of established H&V safety policies and practices.
  7. Conduct training of operations and maintenance personnel as needed.
  8. Assist mill maintenance and production departments in troubleshooting and correction of equipment and process problems
  9. It is essential that the person have access to ITAR and other export controlled information.  The candidate should be either a US citizen or green card holder.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. BS or MS in Engineering, preferably Electrical.
  2. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a process-related industry facility and/or an industrial consulting engineering design firm with relevant hands on experience, including project management experience.
  3. Working knowledge of various DCS control systems including experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s, Intellution/Wonderware HMI, and ABB QCS Systems.
  4. International project experience desirable.
  5. Professional engineering license preferred.
  6. Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate preferred.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  1. The position will be working in and around the operating floors so all the typical restrictions that would apply to our production personnel would apply. 
  2. Person needs to be able to walk up and down stairs and work in tight or confined areas.
  3. Often person is working with live electrical circuits and must be able to wear the necessary PPE to prevent injury.
  4. Person must be able to hear with ear plugs, see well enough with safety glasses to work in a production environment, speak clearly to be understood by hourly employees for training and to provide direction, walk and stand on concrete floors for a considerable period of time, climb stairs and ladders, and work with a computer screen for long periods of time.

SUMMARY:

The Production Mill Worker is an entry level, production position in our East Walpole, MA paper mill. Upon successful completion of a 60 day probationary period, the Mill Worker will become a Fourth Hand in the union bargaining unit. Production Mill Workers operate, assist, and support paper machine operations. This involves working with high speed, continuous process equipment and forklift operation.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of the Paper Machine and Rewinder, assisting in materials movement, labeling and packaging, collecting and removing broke/scrap materials, performing cleaning and housekeeping tasks in the general Mill area and other tasks as assigned by crew leaders and Supervision.
  • General knowledge of safe practices and safe performance of all duties, including proper use of PPE, proper operation of fork trucks and attachments, strict adherence to all safe practices and guidelines and general safe conduct at all times in the Mill.

This position will be onsite in our Easton and Greenwich, NY locations providing health advising, coaching, and wellness promotion activities.  You will support the mission and vision of Health Fitness through engagement and promotion of wellness services.  The position requires high visibility onsite to build rapport with employees.  You will work closely H&V management, and the Manager of Clinical Coaching to ensure smooth delivery of services.  This position is part time with approximately 40 hours a month.

  • 3+ years of administrative, Human Resources support experience, preferably in a professional services firm, or combination of educational and work experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written/verbal communication, customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and handle highly confidential information in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral member of various teams
  • Meticulous attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS and database skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong customer service focus
